Total Solar Eclipse Experiences
Today was a day when memories were made. Memories that will last a lifetime. From getting into the car and stopping to write on the windows to christen it “the eclipse bus” to figuring out where we will go for clear skies after learning about the best weather web sites from a meteorologist at our KOA pool we were swimming at… to screaming with glee and jumping out to set up equipment when we reached our final destination after navigating clouds for hours together. And then the BEST part of all came last…
Seeing people along the side of the road, waiting in their lawn chairs and waving as you speed by.
Honking at other cars who are going to the path of totality.
Sharing the magnificence of this universe with people you just met.
Seeing a man shedding tears of joy and overwhelm after it was over.
In that 2 minutes and 30 seconds, political barriers, religious beliefs and nationalities all melted into one thing- the human experience.
If the world had more of this, if the world had more of this…..
