Nighttime and Daytime Programs

Nighttime Stargazing

 

  • Observe through a 14″, 10″ and/or 6″ telescope
  • Learn how to find constellations in the sky
  • Learn why our North star changes and how to determine our latitude
  • Hear a star lore story
  • Learn what you can do to decrease light pollution and save our night sky

We learn how to set up telescopes, tour the night sky, hear a star lore story and view major celestial objects.

Pricing:  $75/hr for groups of 25 or less. $105/hr for groups over 25.

Daytime Programs

 

We can provide a host of hands-on astronomy activities for your class or group as well as hands-on activities for large public events such as:

  • Daytime Solar Viewing
  • Life Cycles of Stars
  • Astrobiology and the Search for Life in the Universe
  • Modeling Black Holes and the Fabric of Space
  • Learn About Light Pollution and What You Can Do to Save the Night Sky
  • The Reason for the Seasons
  • How Moon Phases and Eclipses Work
  • A Scale Model of the Solar System Walk
  • Experience the Size of One of the Largest Optical Telescopes in the World
  • An Author Visit and Reading of “Cassandra and the Night Sky”
  • Make Constellation Viewers
  • Hear Constellation Stories from Different Cultures
